International Women’s Day 2015

Each year International Women’s Day  is celebrated on March 8. The first International Women’s Day was held in 1911.

All around the world, International Women’s Day represents an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women while calling for greater equality.

But women’s contributions to science begins long before there was the Women’s Day.

4,000 years of women in science, in technology and other altogether creative stuff! Did you know that?

Science is a traditional role for women, but preconceptions still exist!
